A bit about the two-man team (er – one man,
one woman team) that runs this operation…

David Tendrich

Copywriter, Co-Founder, Marketer

Copywriting & marketing fell into David Tendrich’s lap when he taught guitar lessons in college. He’d spend hours crafting flyers, and online ads to draw in new students. Before he knew it, his passion for writing overtook his passion for teaching guitar. One thing lead to the next, & here he is today.

Copywriting to me is connecting to the deep-down desires of the market. Often it’s desires they don’t even know they have. But when you find those core reasons why someone truly wants your product, service, or whatever it is that you do – and you metaphorically look that person in the eyes and let them know you get it – your voice becomes unstoppable. It’s about appreciation. And when you do this, the level of appreciation your market has for you is truly amazing.

When David isn’t constructing elaborate marketing plans, writing copy, consulting his clients, and doing the other things that take place in the Unexpected Ways “secret lab”… you can often find him enjoying the beach, playing guitar on his front porch, and riding bikes with Lou around Virginia Beach.

Lou Levit

Graphic Designer, Co-Founder, Marketer

If a hawk ever transformed into a human being… but kept its miraculously sharp eye for detail… I believe it would come close to Lou Levit’s keen eye. Born a gifted visual artist, Lou has a unique ability to display in design a true feeling & presence that makes the target market feel completely at home, and understood.

To me design is the ultimate joy. It’s making things – ideas – come to life. A client comes to us with a message they want to express… but they don’t have the tools to do it. When you visually show them that “thing” they’ve been trying to say all along – and you see the joy in their eyes – it’s priceless. It’s even more priceless when the market reacts in the same way – and everyone who comes in contact with the design walks away from it with something they didn’t have before. Hope, or inspiration, or laughter… something beautiful & profound.

When Lou isn’t concocting visual pieces that soothe the heart, and stimulate the mind, you can find her painting, walking around Virginia Beach with David, and enjoying the finer things in life – like crispy, shoestring french fries.
